Murky waters

One of the things I really enjoyed during my trip to the US was trying out some water sports like sailing. I couldn't believe that I'd lived by the sea for years and never done anything other than swim in it.

We have a freshwater lake near our beach hut called Hove Lagoon where you can learn basic techniques in a range of activities before setting out on the waves. It looks lovely here as the sun is going down. However I noticed as I took this photo that it's a tad smelly, with a lot of algae on the surface. So I'm going to investigate some courses, but make sure I hold my nose.
