Spotlight

There's something about the geometry and precision of dance, combined with its total abandon, that is entrancing. I'm always torn between the full color of the beautiful staging lights and the starkness of b&w that isolates shapes. Clients usually want color, so this one's just for me.

Speaking of clients, tomorrow I have a previously scheduled photoshoot -- without the benefit of my friend John's assist. It's a repeat client. So I'm dreading the evening for the inevitable question that will arise as well as for having to pick up my cameras again. I feel slightly incompetent right now.
