With One Eye Wide Open

Ynys Lawd South Stack Lighthouse off the edge of Holy Island in Anglesey, North Wales.

I'm on Day 2 of my solo journey around the UK. After saying my goodbyes to Anton and Sleepyhead in York, I took the train to Manchester to begin my solo road trip. I picked up a rented car this morning and after having spent a good part of an hour trying to find the way towards Wales, I finally succumbed and got myself a cheap sat nav. I love maps and told myself years ago that i'll never ever buy a sat nav but i'm running out of travel funds so to save on time and petrol, I had no choice but to do it the dumb way. Lol! No offense meant! I just feel slightly idiotic trying to follow a voice telling me what to do 2 mins before I need to do it. It has its uses I guess and who knows, after this trip I might become a convert!

Anyway, I arrived at the hostel in Anglesey with the car still in one piece and rewarded myself with a glass of red. I picked the hostel owner's brain on what to see and ended up at this lighthouse. Too bad coz the clouds swallowed up the Sun way before it reached the horizon and this shot was a few seconds before Sunny made his exit.

May tomorrow be another beautiful day!

Allow me to take this opportunity to thank Sleepyhead for a smashing road trip across Scotland, Northumberland and York! Thank you so much for everything and for being such a wonderful host! Apologies if I was overly annoying at times (likely most of the time), I did warn you! :). May this be the start of more blip meets for both of us! All the best and my deepest and heartfelt gratitude for making the trip to Scotland memorable!
