A lot of lycra

A group of cyclists stopping to drink at the drinking water tap installed to replace the old fountain which is now part of a closed circuit of non-drinkable water - a situation described to me as une honte (a shame) by one of the older residents of the village, and I agree: it's a pointless saving when so much water will be used by the new villas planned for the outskirts of the village.

Very hot again today, and humid too, so after an early trip around the village buying essentials (wine and cheese mainly) I'm staying inside until this evening. That's normal here in summer - it's only holiday makers who go out in the sun at mid day! These cyclists will be home in time for lunch, I'm sure.

(This image began as a RAW image that I processed for exposure using Gimp and then used Picasa for a focus blur to protect the lycra-wearers.)
