DIY

It was DIY central in the flat today. Amy came with a couple of church friends to build some IKEA furniture. I love the photo montage she made under the glass panel on top of her drawers - clever idea! We discovered why a framed poster of Homer Simpson was screwed into the wall above the boiler: it was covering a rather large hole! Not a big deal, we'll just cover it up with something nicer!

In the evening I had my audition for the RSNO Chorus. They were lovely and it was really informal. The director really liked my song, we had a nice wee chat and he decided they'd be happy to have me! I'm very excited. They have a busy concert programme planned over the next year all over Scotland. I'm glad I've found a new choir to sing in as stuff clashes with Uni Chorus this year which is a shame.

Afterwards my school friend Joanna came round. We were both free for once and I enjoyed catching up with her. Like me, she's been living alone in her new flat while working here waiting for other flatmates to join her. Know the feeling.
