Gap Filler, Colombo/Wordsworth

I took the longer route on the way home tonight, stopping by something I've passed so many times. In a vacant lot that once used to home Ascot Electrical, Gap Filler has provided a colourful new garden and added a vibrant atmosphere to an intersection in a part of town that suffered so much damage in both September and February earthquakes. The poignant mural just says so much, and every time I pass by my heart breaks a little. Thankfully though, time marches forward. And it's the little improvements to the city that people and organisations like Gap Filler are making that speaks so much of the Cantabrian spirit. Kia kaha Christchurch.
