Black - tailed Godwit

..as identified our very knowledgeable neighbour!
Today JanetH came over and despite the poor light we decided to go to the Burton Mere wetlands on the Dee Estuary. There were not as many birds as  usual but we managed to see some waders and ducks. I was trying out my new tele converter, making my lens effectively up to 600mm. With the poor light it was quite tricky but I was quite pleased with this shot under the circumstances.
Janet and I had a great catch up too which was lovely.
