Depleting Numbers

I haven't been up to the beach for a almost a week and I felt in need of a seal fix.  So turned my day around and went to the beach this morning and worked from home this afternoon.

The seals are thinning out a bit now, with most of the cows having returned into the sea,  The ones that are left are looking very thin. I cant imagine not eating for 18 days!!!  Once the pups are hungry enough they will take the trek across the  beach and experience the sea for the first time.  It will help sort their eyes out.  Most have very runny noses and eyes, probably irritated by the sand that blows around up there.  

Anyway it's looking like there won't be that many left for Christmas.  Bon voyage little one it's a shame the only way we can recognise you next year is if you are sporting an injury.  Look forward to meeting your pups in a couple of years time.
