Evening at Casa Alvarado, Los Barriles, Mexico
We arrived in San Jose del Cabo, Baja, in time to do some serious grocery shopping. Terry & Monica headed for the liquor dept and I headed for actual food in the Supermercado. 2 carts, all our luggage and 4 people crammed into a little Chevy SUV made it the 40 mils of hiway and 10 miles of single-lane very rough and rocky beach road to the well-lit Casa Alvarado. Carlos, the caretaker, was there with Griselda , who had made tamales, chiles rellenos, enchiladas, beans, rice and several chilled bottles of wine and fruit drinks (yay!) The sunset behind us painted the clouds red and the lights of the casas down the beach toward Punta Pescadero Paradiso blinked on, as well. The first extra shows the beach steps from the main house....the lit windows to the side are our bedroom and bath...kind of a fishbowl to any and all on the pool deck but who cares? The second is the main bedroom window thet faces the sunrise...can't wait to see it tomorrow.
The flowers are from Carlos and Griselda...sweet! Gracias amigos.
