Mucky Duck

Thought I'd try something different for once as it's a grey day, I was going out to lunch with my sister and even flower blips are better for a change occasionally!

This is the Mucky Duck, a new bar which has taken over from that well-known Winchester dive, The White Swan in Hyde Street. For those familiar with the city, it's been bought up by the owners of the Corner House, which is lovely and girly and has a superb selection of cakes in covered glass dishes by the door.

The MD is definitely more male, though the menu isn't particularly. It calls itself a 'sporting bar' which means cricket on the flat screen. (Not sure about the flat screen or the music, which run concurrently). Nice place, needs to shake down a bit.

And yes, that is my white wine spritzer. The guy? Nah, dunno. Eye candy!

In other news: Have just booked a week in Mallorca in September so am feeling much better than yesterday. Thank you all for being kind..
