Enchanted frozen lake

Late afternoon we drove up to the top of the pass to find a winter paradise: a lake filled with skaters. Beside Lago Bianco were some revellers enjoying a picnic with glüwein. Recognised by our dog, we were invited to join in: a friend from work was celebrating his birthday. They had been skating on the lake all afternoon.
As the skaters gradually retreated to their cars, we enjoyed watching the light transform the scenery and work its magic.
