Operation Christmas!! - Day 2

Bath Christmas Market

After spending the morning wrestling the 7ft Christmas tree into the house and into its stand, I took the bus into Bath and headed to the Abbey for one of their Shoppers’ Carol Services, a lovely way to get into the festive spirit. At the moment, the Abbey is surrounded by the Christmas Market and the glow from the stalls was very cheering on a rather dark and dismal day… So to avoid the crowds, and the rain, we visited The Lodge for Gluhwein, yes another one!

Back home the next Operation Christmas chore was to rearrange the furniture to make room for the Christmas tree, then the job I love the most, cutting the netting and watching the branches spring into shape, though I must admit I didn’t realise the tree was quite so large! Tomorrow’s task, to decorate the tree once the branches have dried overnight…
