Still beautiful

Following the torrential rain overnight everything was bedecked in sparkling jewels of raindrops. Even this fading thistle looks stunning with its spikes adorned with tiny jewels of water. Everywhere the long grasses were bent over with the weight of the raindrops and the dogs had a wonderful time dashing through the rain soaked undergrowth as it kept them nice and cool.

The family arrive back tonight having collected my son-in-law from Edinburgh airport as he had been still at work down south last week. They are now looking forward to the Crieff Highland Gathering tomorrow - would it be too much to hope for a dry day?
