Pea in a bucket

Looks like the final pea harvest this year, a tasty 1/2 Kg of garden peas. It's one of the pleasures of summer.

Unzipping each pod, pushing the sides apart then biting out the tastiest sweet morsels ever. Love em. A pea bed will happen next year, along with tatties, carrots, melons (again) and perhaps some lettuce. The tastiest food comes from your own hands.
