Last chicks of the year?
Well today is an I really hate Monday day...
Had to say goodbye to L for another week. We had a nice day. In the morning we cycled down to the Danube to see the trees on the sandbank. But even though the river is incredibly low it wasn't low enough to be able to walk out. It was very hot though!
After lunch we had a bit of time before L had to drive me to the bus station. The bus journey was nice and quiet as it's still the school holidays but the walk home was awful. It was unbelievably hot.
My evening was spent being not as productive as I should have been.... I spoke to dad though. I'd got so used to being able to just call him up everyday, several times sometimes that it's horrid having to take the high costs into account. Turns out that my mum's bad ankle that she has been brushing off as barely anything is a ruptured Achilles. My poor mummy. The doctor finally said oh actually there is something wrong with your ankle after many appointments. To make it worse to avoid having to wait weeks or months for an NHS referal she's got to go private to get it put in cast. I've sent her some flowers. When she first had her accident she got really upset when the 2 bunches of flowers delivered to the house were actually for the people down the lane and not from my brother (who used to always send her flowers). I hope that although they were the cheapest ones I could find and won't be impressive like my brother's that she'll be really touched.
