Reaching out...
... for some sun. These poor crocuses, like us, have been deprived of much light for a while, as a layer of low, thick, grey cloud has hung over Wooler for most of the last week. They live in a pot in our courtyard, a small space surrounded by high walls, so they don't get much light at the best of times.
Not feeling very bright or cheerful myself this evening - wrestling with accounts all day. Well, most of the day, apart from a short walk on the Common with MrM and Louie, and constant interruptions of one sort or another. Consulting HMRC's Tax return Guide at the start of the day was guaranteed to bring on an attack of mega-grumpiness - what may seem sensible on first reading turns out to be a load of unintelligible and meaningless garbage when you try to work out what it actually means. Oh joy!
Never mind, onwards and and upwards, as they say. I will get these figures to balance...
PS. And so I did! The Eureka moment finally came at 11.45pm! Phew, just a few odds and ends to sort out tomorrow and it'll be done and dusted.
