Life through the lens...

By ValC

Fly Past.

Visited Blacktofts RSPB today.
Weather a bit cloudy but warm.
Didn't see the bittern which had been reported.
(obviously knew were were coming, and was hiding!)
Plenty to see though, including,
Snipe
Greenshank
Ruff
Green sandpiper
Redshank
Gadwall
Shoveler
Heron
Mallard
Lapwing
Swan
Great Crested Grebe
and these greylag geese which suddenly took off.

We always meet some very friendly people there. As I am not very good at identifying wading birds, there is always someone who will help. Just ask and they are only too pleased to tell me what they all are.

I also took some peacock butterfly photos, but not good enough. Will keep trying!

I think tomorrow is a gardening day so hope it keeps fine!
Hope you're all having a good week.
