Ousted

Well, in the process of decorating for Christmas, Hello Kitty has had to be moved from her usual place to make way for Pingu the Penguin. I was surprised then, to find her fraternising with the bears. She doesn't seem terrified at all!

Today has been much better paced than the past two days; but that's only because Marja cancelled on an arrangement due to work constraints. We had a bit of a shop in IKEA; were then supposed to go on to gift shopping but decided to come home instead. Both very tired. It was good to catch our cleaner still in the flat, and he had done a fantastic job helping us prepare for the last bit of decorating.

The unexpected gift of time meant I was able to catch up with the ironing (yawn) and we have decided to completely go green with the light bulbs here, so a number of them got changed. Some I am pleased with, others not so much. Oh well... hopefully it will show up in the bill next year.

I put lights on the tree. It's small and sweet. No baubles yet. And G put all her puff into blowing up two reindeer which are now gazing out into the garden from two balconies. :D

The best bit of the day though was boxing some of the things G brought over from my Dad's house last week. Lots of old pictures from my childhood, and a wedding picture of my mum and dad! They have been stored to sort through more carefully in the new year. Tomorrow we will catch up with more things...
