Black cat Sunday.
Today Swannie went up to her Mum's with their Christmas presents and went out to check on my orphan cousins in the pen. The main blip is Nevil, who was found as a very timid stray, but he has come on leaps and bounds and now demands attention from everyone who looks in on him. Wee Perry, in the other pen, is in the extra photo and has also come on since being found as a lost, starving, wee feral kitten. She is still a wee bit timid but absolutely full of purrs and showing no aggression at all.
There was a home check arranged in Peebles this afternoon so Swannie went along with her Mum. There was obviously somebody in the house but the buzzer was being ignored so they had to give up trying. Just as they walked away, a girl who was walking up the street said hello, she knew Swannie's Mum and asked if she had any cats as she would love to offer one a home. A home check was promptly done and, fingers crossed, Nevil will have a new home after Christmas.
It was more good luck than anything, but after nearly a year in the pen, I hope Nevil gets his forever home, he is such a lovely puss. I got my forever home, and although more Dreamies wouldn't go amiss, I'm a happy wee cat now. Lots of love, JJ, xx.
