Innocent railway tunnel

Took a walk around Holyrood park this morning, along the old track of the Innocent railway. Edinburgh's first railway, opened in 1832 to transport coal into Edinburgh using horse drawn trucks, it also involved building one of the oldest railway tunnels in the UK. We walked that, too, very long and a bit spooky in the sections where the lights have failed! I'm taking a Ramblers group on this wak on Wednesday so I'll take a torch!
