That Their Light May Always Shine

A productive day for Christmas shopping.  Made a good dent in the little ones and the big ones.

Then tonight I attended the Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle Lighting Ceremony.  This event unites friends and family around the globe in lighting candles for one hour to honor the memory of sons, daughters, siblings and grandchildren who left too soon creating a 24 hour wave of light as it travels from time zone to time zone.  About 325 photos and names were spoken along with a quote provided by the family of each person.  Sumner's was among them.  Thankful to have found a friend when I got there who also lost a child.  An emotional hour for certain, but glad to have taken part.
