Monday morning didn't start so well with the lurgy taking hold of both me and J. Picked up a little though with the arrival of a magnificent hamper of loveliness from one of Carl's suppliers who he has clearly sent a lot of work this year. Cynicism aside, the supplier in question is a very lovely man and also very savvy - he makes a thing of sending gifts to the partners of his clients. So whilst we have no real food in the fridge we are now awash with fancy cheese and saucisson.

I managed a quick walk with the pooch but apart from that have spent most of the day tucked under a blanket feeling sorry for myself.

Though I did manage to get myself organised enough to deal with the fact we are not organised enough to deal with unpacking the living room and are hiding the problem in a storage unit. I'm really quite excited. Possibly overly so. It may be delirium.

And Anna and I started our Christmas film watching with National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
