Pump House

This is the only remaining building at Govan Graving docks, it served drydock number 1 see the steel gate below it. These granite built docks were for over a century used to repair and refit hundreds of Clyde ships.
Since falling into disuse in 1980s the site is owned by property developers and is derelict and deteriorating.
The Govan Docks Maritime Park charity  is  hard at work seeking ownership of the site with support of community and maritime enthusiasts . We want it to become a mixed use site with some docks restored  to working order for boat building and restoration work on our historic ships
