From the top floor of the Glasgow Hilton the M8 motorway looks like a toy town model.

Not many cities allowed bulldozers to rip through historic buildings in the name of progress but Glasgow did and it was the right decision resulting in much modern development

Glasgow has benefited by having a thriving city centre well served by all forms of transport.
