our first day was spent soaking up the atmosphere of the old part of the town, within the World Heritage Site, where our guest house was, and generally chilling out. photo opportunities everywhere, though in general I am not that happy with my pics. in the afternoon we went to Taylor's port lodge for a guided tour and tasting!!

John decided to lash out 10.50 euros on a glass of 30 year old ruby port, on the basis that he would never be able to buy a bottle at around 200 euros. so here it is. on the table in their lovely garden, in the sun...
