Les Miserables....magnificent day!
It has to be a short blip to sum up a fantastic day, as I am about to embark on my 3 hour drive home from Hoddesdon to Lower Gresham.
Up at 7.30 and dropped at the station in Broxbourne by dad for the 9.25 train. We were in central London by 10.30 and walked from Oxford Circus down Regents Street dropping in to shops along the way, and taking photos like proper tourists!
At Covent Garden we paid £1 each for a wee, but it was necessary, then refuelled.
Wandered around all the lovely craft stalls then out and up towards the theatres. We met up with Karen and her family in Valerie Patisserie where we enjoyed a much needed cup of tea (me) apple juice (Moll) and shared a cake! Then it was Les Miserables time! An amazing show, and thoroughly enjoyed by us all.
At 5.30 we went our separate ways. Then the fun started - walked to Tottenham Court road tube, but the central line was out of action. After much deliberation over my tube map, we walked to Warren Street and got the tube to Tottenham Hale, then on to the overground train to Broxbourne. Arrived at 7, where dad picked us up and we drove round the back streets, past my old school Sheredes, then St Pauls Church where we got married, and through the town. It's been a really lovely day. Just got that drive home now....with the soundtrack to Les Mis the film for company. Message to Jon...see you at 11! X
