Wild in the country

By colin

Watching the sun go down.

I met the farmer today, as I walked my big dog.  He asked if I went there often.  I confessed I did, but not too often now since the dog shows a deal of reluctance.  So he asked me to keep an eye on his fence posts, which someone has been stealing,  and to walk the perimeter occasionally instead of keeping to the centre path. Me and the big German Shepherd Dog will be pleased to oblige.  We'll give 'em a right telling-off if we catch 'em. Anyway, as we spoke the sky was changing dramatically. 'Be dark soon', says he.  I'm not a farmer, so I can't say it bothered me, but he needed the light to put wire on his fence posts, to slow down the robbers.
