Wound up in Wexford

Alfie-proof fence

Whilst I idled the day away at work, W was busy.  He has put up a fence.  The original intention was that grandchildren would be safe from the pond.  Robin is not quite old enough for that to be a concern.

But the subsidiary benefit is that visiting dogs (Alfie belongs to my daughter) cannot escape from the garden.  And Alfie is due this weekend, so there was some pressure to get it erected.  Still not quite finished - there's a gate to go in the arch.

We don't think that we want a fence across our garden, so it is (at least for the moment) removable.  We MAY convert it to a permanent hedge if it feels "right" - after all, one is supposed to create rooms in one's garden.
