Had a couple of meltdowns a few days ago, upon realising this is my first Xmas with no parents. The emotions seemed disproportionate to the actual realisation, given that I've been coping okay with grieving for the loss of my mum since January 2015 and my dad since May 2016, and I wondered if the depression was coming back. I'll give it a few days and see how it goes. I don't like Xmas at the best of times, ever since my Gran died on Xmas day 1986, but you just try to make the best of it.
