Putting a spanner in the works

I wonder what that phrase really means.

Anyway, JohnRH and Igor have been talking about fiddling with their ball cocks so I thought I'd continue the tradesperson theme and show you my spanners.

Unfortunately, they're not as sturdy as they look...

They could all melt away in the blink of an eye or the twiddle of a ball cock!

They were for sale on a pop up stall in Grand Central this morning and AnnieMay and I rather liked them!  £35 for a solid chocolate Nikon camera seems a bit steep though.  

How long would a chocolate spanner last in your house?
