A Handsome Chap
Although I didn't manage a full length shot of this superb bird I was pleased to blip him as I don't see many now. At our last home we were fortunate to have them living on our land; they were "strays" which had come into the paddock and garden from the wood lower down the valley where they were bred for shoots. One cock bird used to scare me to death when I walked past his territory, jumping out flapping his wings and squawking - it became easier to avoid that particular area of the garden. Looking back I think we took them too much for granted and didn't appreciate having them as much as we probably should have.
