Sophie And Her Birthday Cake

Today is Sophie's 2nd birthday so we popped down this afternoon to give her her present and enjoy a slice of her birthday cake. I've spared you the photo taken shortly after this where she has chocolate cake all round her mouth!

We bought her a (stereotypical, I'm afraid) doll and pushchair, which she absolutely loved. Kate text us later to say that Sophie was already asleep in her cot by 6o'clock, warn out by the day's excitement and cuddling her doll; Kate had persuaded her there wasn't room for the pushchair n the cot as well!

On a different note, the sale of Tess's parents' flat was completed today. It was a relief that it had all gone through smoothly but a rather sad landmark too, another connection with them gone. We raised a glass of bubbly to Sophie and her Great Grandma and Granddad
