The tennis team!

50 years on!!!
 
We are in Wendover for a reunion. It’s 50’s today since the 106 entry of apprentices graduated from RAF Halton, which is just up the road from the pub.
 
I first met some of B's old pals 3 years ago when they met up to celebrate the 50th anniversary of them joining up. It was good to put faces to names initially and since then I’ve got to know their wives and heard some of the tales of their antics as apprentices!!
 
Tennis was important to these gents in their apprentice days and two still play these days.
    
I’ve put a picture of the whole group attending today, in extras. I wasn’t the main photographer so it’s a bit of a side view. The second extra is the cake which we enjoyed with a glass of champagne.
 
It was a most enjoyable day and plans are being drawn up for the next event.
