Shadows walking

The weather is at last becoming consistently summery and a morning walk is a beautiful thing (not that it's not fun in winter too)....Today it was warm enough for R to take the surfboard he purchased a few months ago, to the beach for the first time. Summer holidays have almost officially started.
Only one sad thing to report on this sunny day.....The old house in our street, photographed a few months back, is now no more. It is sad that so much history can be gone in just one day. But at least the pear tree has survived - we will see if this is a permanent thing or if it too will be part of development.
