Flower Friday

I was sitting doing my Christmas cards when a cute bird appeared just outside the window in this bottlebrush.
I ran and got my camera and long lens but just missed the bird.
However I decided the shot look sufficiently Christmassy to do for today's blip and Flower Friday (thanks BikerBear).

As for the Christmas cards I am running awfully late and busted myself to get them done in time for today's post. 
When I got to the Post Office I found they had sold out of Christmas stamps (35 cents cheaper). With 40 cards to post I am going to wait till Monday and hope I can get the stamps in Katoomba.

But what really annoyed me was the attitude - no "sorry about that, we've sold out" just "you'll have to put $1 ones on".
