Another Beautiful Day

Black Black Sludge of Home

Its one month away from the two year anniversary of the first quake and all I can say is bring on the counselors and social workers. There are a lot of stressed people out there.
You go down to the river and all you can smell it, it looks like shit , black stuff everywhere along the riverbanks, the colour of the river is grey and really you wonder when things are going to get better.
This unfortunate state of affairs has been going on now for two years and that big black cloud is still hanging around. You see it at the supermarket, you see it at kathmandu.People are losing the plot far too easily. The stress is easily seen on the faces of people.
There is not a day that goes by that there isn't something that won't trigger an event.
Studies have shown that two to three years after a disaster, people start to lose the ability to survive the constant stress...do the arithmetic...time is ticking by....
