Sweep

Sweep is the youngest of my hens but you can see from her wattle and comb in this shot that she is starting to mature. Sooty is already laying and Foxy Lady will start again very soon after her moulting break. They are a little fed up with being shut inside the polytunnel this winter and I can already see the egg quality dropping as they cannot free range even although they have a big space to scratch about in and access to greens.

Teenager made us proud today by achieving a Bronze certificate in the UK Maths Challenge set by the Univ of Leeds. Our school achieved 2 bronze and 2 silver so well done to them all as it was a voluntary test on problem solving in maths.

Off out tonight for KK's last football session of the year, then it will be wine time.
