molecular machines

Took the chance to see the lecture by Fraser Stoddart, one of this year's winners of the Nobel Price in chemistry for his work on molecular machines. The lecture theatre was totally packed. Although my knowledge is very limited (some vague memories of school chemistry still linger on) and I didn't really follow much of the technical terminology the talk was very interesting. It was amazing to hear about all the people who were involved in the work. Time for the weekend...
