Mount Warning AKA Wollumbin
It was a fabulous day today...a couple of us old tarts went up to the Tweed Art Gallery....there was so much inspiring art there...where to start...the photography.
Infra red photography printed on Metallic paper by Marc Davis was absolutely awesomely wonderful (I'm searching for another superlative)and fabulous. That was my favorite bit....except I have to say the view from this gallery is just magic....it has the best view to.........
.....Mount Warning or Wollumbin is like a friend to me ...for over 20 years I have driven up and down the coast...its always there...I always look for it....(although sometimes shrouded in mist or clouds)....It always looks like it is sleeping...I wait for the day it wakes up.
This is our iconic mountain for the area along with Mount Chincogan. I haven't climbed it yet although I am seriously considering it...(could be the last thing I do)...hopefully before it gets too hot....however I am awfully out of condition....puff puff.
I wanted to get a fantastic image of it...not so easy to photograph for some reason...maybe I'm just not experienced enough at landscapes to get the best out of it. I will learn and I will do this again...until then here is a taster of this sacred Mountain.
