Approaching Winter Solstice...

While I was out of town for work, my husband found a Douglas Fir on our property, brought it in and festooned it with lights. He also ran a garland of lights up and around our banister. I had said that this holiday season, I especially felt the need for light, due to the dark state of our country. It is delightful to see these bright and cheery "icons" of peace, joy and goodwill!
