Make a Wish

What a rumpus this gaggle of magpies were up to at the top of the tree, as I passed by.  I think there were 8 of them.

Magpie
One for sorrow.
Two for joy.
Three for a girl.
Four for a boy.
Five for silver.
Six for gold.
Seven for a secret never to be told.
Eight's a wish.
Nine's a kiss.
Ten is a bird you must not miss,
MAGPIE.
