Dot dash dot dash....
And an early start; out on 2 wheels for a good rake about; Criagleith for 0830 and then off I went into the House of Muir. Rummaged about there until ten; then had a bit of a challenge with colleague Jools. We were at the opposite ends of Pennywell Road at 1000; and were heading for Klondyke St in Newcraighall; she in her car; me no the bike. She caught me at the top of McDonald Road at the lights; I shot off ahead onto Montgomery St and lost her; she stopped for five minutes at Bingham and I still made it before her to the destination.
Then on to the Inch; she beat me but by two minutes. So 36km by 1100 at a decent lick; Jools suitably impressed at my speed about town, even over the longer distances.
We split up after that; she had a half day, sadly no lie down for me. Back into Tollcross, Gorgie and Shandon; back into the west end; stopped in the office to drop paperwork; said hi to her (ho di ho) and then back home. But not for long; I managed a couple in the hood before a 1700 in Joppa. A piece of sludge I can;t shift from the bottom of the barrel.
Then to hers; she;d hoped we could do some stuff re: Xmas but her heart wasn't in it; more G nonsense and so I stayed an hour and went home to wrap, put sheets on bed and make an omlette Arnold Bennett. (Version)
I checked Stava and in amongst the 55km it showed the top speed of the day was 92.5kmh...! Shurely shome mishtake?
