Quick, make like a red Indian...

You shouldn't really photograph birds in their nest, but these guys were in a tunnel/walkway leading through to the hides at Loch Leven RSPB Reserve and as such were, I suspect, more than accustomed to attention. Their mum came in to feed them whilst I was there and seemed equally unperturbed by my presence. Unfortunately, because it was quite dark, I couldn't see to focus very well and so the nest is more in focus than the chicks.

Mr Murmuration said that my insect shots were getting a bit run of the mill and I should try something different ( although I suspect he's feeling threatened by the quality of my work, i've seen him coveting my camera) So I've tried birds.
