Some Pink

9.7C with thin cloud, Some smir. Light ESE/E breeze.

Grocery shopping over by mid morning. Maeve the Deerhound stayed at home. The cloud had become heavy and low enough for there to be smir.

We went the ten miles or so South to Southend then followed the road round past Dunaverty beach and Kiel to Carskey Bay where we had a wander with Maeve from one end of the beach to the other and back. The smir eased as we walked and was off by the time we were halfway along the beach. The view over to the Antrim coast of Northern Ireland developed as we walked and there was some pink colouration in the sky above the coastline as the layers of the landscape gradually appeared.

No beachcasting fisherman today, and the sea was very calm. At the far end of the beach there are still a lot of small trees. logs, and branches washed up. At Kiel there were one or two seals bobbing about just offshore.

We had quite a late lunch and later there was Raspberry and Vanilla Swiss roll (jam roll as we would call it!).

Later still Apothecary7 was making prints from a lino cut.
