Intermission at The Nutcracker

At intermission Bella showed me on the stairway how she would do Clara's dance, if it were hers to do. I asked if she'd like to be on the stage, doing the dance, and she said, "No, it would make me too nervous. I just like to pretend it for you."

If I had figured that out when I was five and a half, I could have saved myself a lot of struggle.
