The Killing Fields....

......somewhat bored with my usual training route in the Queen's Park, I detoured down into Embra's riviera via the Trinity cycle path. En route, I ran into a herd of snails stampeding across cycle path at Warriston. Such was my speed that I was unable to stop before I ran into them, killing at least two as I sped through the panic stricken throng. It was with a heavy heart that I ventured on, having first stopped to scrape squashed snail from my slick tyres.

It was a lovely night, with big sky and big clouds on the horizon, and with a light westerly breeze in my face, I scuttled along to Cramond and back. A good bit flatter than normal, but I enjoyed the chance to shake an earlier flight from my legs.
