Next year in the Simpson?

The friend I travelled with in the Simpson Desert this year, and I, are in deep discussions about revisiting the desert next year. We're considering travelling through Aboriginal land further north. Exciting!

This image is of a very well established looking campground, much tidier than anything we saw this year. It'd be a lot more remote though, and some of the travel would be by GPS only.
