Rainbow in a tin

I found this collection of well used and much loved pencils amongst some house move boxes (2 1/2 years since move!). I had this tin of colours for a Christmas present as a child. The tin lid is battered and has a Swiss mountainous scene that used to remind me of the Sound of Music. The pencils are different lengths, sharpened over and over. These were special pencils because I could turn a standard colouring-in into a water colour by adding a few watery brushstrokes over the top. Hours of quiet concentration, just me (never share such gems with younger sisters!) in a colourful world of my own.
