Broken Kneecap

I didn't mention yesterday that I had taken a little spill on my walk yesterday. I slipped on black ice and landed on my left knee. We rode down to Sunriver yesterday, and by last night my knee was the size of a grapefruit and pretty painful. In to the orthopedist we went this afternoon, and the X-ray confirmed a break in the knee cap. I will be in a brace for six weeks with my leg completely straight. Hopefully, it will heal so surgery won't be needed. Meanwhile, I will have to slow down, which is not something I am used to, and one of the first things I thought about was my blips, which I'm sure will suffer.
Grateful today for...a lot of things. It could've been worse!
