Prayers for Junior

This is a terrible photo of a terrible situation. Junior the rescue horse, was seriously injured Sunday night when he walked into a metal cattle guard. He is very fortunate not to have broken any bones, but he was cut deeply on three legs. Joe the vet said he is optimistic about a full recovery for him, but Junior is old and this will set him back in what had been a good winter for him. But he is one tough old guy, as exemplified by when he extricated himself from the guard - the first thing he did was put his head down and started eating the fresh green grass.

We have him in a box stall now. He's stiff and sore, but patched up and bandaged as well as possible. Now it's a matter of changing bandages, administering antibiotics and wound dressings, and prayers of healing. 

Here, Grace offers a healing touch for him. The girls feel terrible, as do we all. Prayers for Junior.
